Servant Leadership – A Modern Leadership Development Trend

As businesses increasingly prioritize sustainable development and recognize PEOPLE as the core value, Servant Leadership has gradually emerged as a prominent management trend. Understanding the growing need for this leadership approach within its management system, CENTRAL collaborated with Blanchard Vietnam to implement the program, bringing a fresh perspective on the role of leadership in modern organizations.

The Servant Leadership program was delivered through Blanchard Vietnam (PACE Institute of Management)

With more than 45 years of experience, Blanchard is recognized as one of the world’s pioneering organizations in leadership training and development, operating in over 80 countries and supporting millions of managers and senior executives, particularly within Fortune 500 corporations. The organization has consistently been named among the Top 20 Leadership Training Companies for 17 consecutive years. In Vietnam, Blanchard’s programs are implemented through Blanchard Vietnam (PACE Institute of Management), combining international training standards with flexible adaptation to local business contexts.

The “Servant Leadership Essentials – The Power of Leading with Heart” course, customized by Blanchard for CENTRAL, focused on redefining the role of leadership in modern organizations. This model shifts leadership thinking from authority-based management toward a people-centered approach focused on serving and developing employees through empowerment, understanding, and closer connection, enabling employees to openly share their challenges and concerns with leaders.

The model is also built upon the philosophy of Ken Blanchard, centered around the fundamental question every leader should ask themselves: “Am I here to serve or to be served?”

Speaking at the program, CEO Tran Quang Tuan highly appreciated the value of the “Servant Leadership Essentials – The Power of Leading with Heart” course delivered by Blanchard Vietnam to CENTRAL’s BOM and Project Directors. He also expressed sincere appreciation to the organization and shared his expectation for broader cooperation in extending this meaningful program to middle-management levels across the company.
