Central Construction Joint Stock Company was honored by the BCI Asia Award 2024 as the “Top 10 Construction Contractors in 2024” in the Vietnamese market.

In order to be honored, Central Construction Joint Stock Company has met and exceeded the evaluation criteria of the International Jury, from the total construction and installation value of all projects at the construction stage, which was started in two years from 01/01/2022 to 31/12/2023, combined with multiplication coefficients for projects registered with “Green” certificates such as:  LEED, Lotus, Green Mark, Green Star, EDGE,… and projects in the form of office headquarters, resort hotels and industrial factories.

Central General Contractor has affirmed its position with many large-scale and quality projects such as: construction of 17 towers, Masteri Centre Point in Vinhomes Grand Park Urban Area; is the general contractor of The Metropole Thu Thiem project with a total area of 7.6 hectares; Keppel Land’s Empire City; 6-star Fairmont Hanoi Hotel; The Global City with a land area of more than 117 hectares; is the general contractor for the Design and Build of the Sol Forest project in Ecopark, Hung Yen; The Estuary Da Nang; Astral City Binh Duong; Hoa Phat factory cluster in Phu My 2 industrial park Ba Ria – Vung Tau to Hoa Phat Steel Factory, phase 2 of Dung Quat Quang Ngai industrial park; Infrastructure construction of Aurora IP Nam Dinh Industrial Park.

For Central, in the journey to go far on the rankings, in addition to brand affirmation, it is also associated with breakthrough growth in financial indicators. In the last 5 years, Central has consistently ranked among the Top construction contractors with an impressive compound growth rate of 64%.

In 2022, the company’s revenue will reach over VND 9,000 billion, an increase of 80% compared to 2021. In 2023, although the construction market still has many difficulties due to the general impact of the market, Central still recorded revenue of over VND 8,100 billion, ranking in the Top 3 in terms of revenue among companies in the same industry. Net profit after tax in 2022 and 2023 is at VND 230 billion and VND 200 billion, respectively, the industry’s leading profit on revenue.

According to the 2023 audit report, total equity reached nearly VND 900 billion, cash and cash equivalents amounted to more than VND 900 billion. Central has managed its finances effectively, and the financial indicators in 2023 are better than in previous years. The debt-to-equity ratio has decreased from 1.64 times in 2022 to 0.53 times in 2023. At the same time, the quick payment ratio increased from 0.94 to 1.04, reflecting better and better solvency.

The representative of Central explained that the strategy of developing a variety of project types, in addition to maintaining a commitment to quality in tandem with progress with investors, are the two main reasons why Central continuously wins bids for new projects as well as gaining the trust of traditional customers to ensure the growth momentum of the market-leading “Top” enterprises.

Currently, Central is the general contractor for the construction of civil, industrial, commercial, and hotels & resorts projects to national key transport infrastructure projects. In particular, many projects have achieved “Green Building” certificates from domestic and international certification organizations. Central has always been the first choice of major investors in Vietnam such as Vingroup, Masterise Homes, Hoa Phat Group, REE Corp.,

For example, UOA Tower (Malaysia), The Metropole Thu Thiem luxury apartment complex (Ho Chi Minh City), Chadwick International School (Hanoi) built according to Green Mark – Singapore standards, Emasi Plus International School in Water Point Urban Area (Long An) built according to LEED Gold standards and C.P. Group (Thailand) office headquarters in Bien Hoa II Industrial Park (Dong Nai) was granted the LEED Platinum Ver.04 green building certificate – the highest green building standard of the US Green Building Council.

In particular, the Daikin project is designed, built and operated according to green building standards with a scale: 3 basements and 13 floors. Upon completion, this will be one of the first buildings in Vietnam as well as in Southeast Asia that can simultaneously meet international standards for green buildings such as Lotus Platinum, LEED ver.04 and WELL Standards for Office Comfort and Health (USA).

The top position of the Central General Contractor is elevated to the level of symbolic works. The greenest apartment tower in Southeast Asia – Sol Forest Ecopark (Hung Yen) is designed and built by Central as the general contractor with a “vertical garden” nearly 200 meters high, creating a symbol of a resort paradise in the middle of the largest green city in Vietnam.

It is also this project that brought to Central – the general contractor for the Design and Build of the “Better World Builder of the Year” within the framework of the Autodesk ASEAN Innovation Awards 2023 in Singapore.

In the office building segment, the General Contractor Central has contributed to creating symbolic value for Etown6 tower – a Grade A+ office project, meeting the pioneering international standard “LEED Platinum” in Ho Chi Minh City.

This is a civil project with a basement block depth of up to 27.1 meters – one of the projects with the deepest basement in Vietnam today. In addition, the capping beam system is up to 3.5 meters high, acting as a load-bearing transfer beam for the entire oblique column system above; or complex prestressed floors with cable lengths of up to more than 90 meters are construction records affirming the capacity of the Central General Contractor.

It is expected that Central will join the Top 10 Leading Construction Contractors in Vietnam in 2024 to be honored at the BCI Asia Awards ceremony on the evening of May 31, 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City. The BCI Asia Awards is considered one of the most prestigious awards of the construction industry in the region. 2024 is the 19th year that this award has been held in 07 countries and territories in Asia, including Hong Kong (China), Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

As part of the series activities “Team Engagement 2024”, recently on behalf of the Company’s BOD, the Human Resources Department in coordination with the Administration and Media Department had visits, meetings and exchanges with the PMB at every project.

This is also an opportunity for everyone to share and bond together, listening to the thoughts and aspirations of each member of the family named Central.

During the meetings, representatives of the BOD shared the Central’s newest policies & welfare as well as conveyed messages about team cohesion. At the same time, give words of encouragement to the project team who are working hard day and night, as well as listen and answer questions from the sharing.

In addition to meaningful meetings, the Central also gives small gifts containing deep affection and gratitude to the project team. Hopefully, these visits will give our team more motivation before the important phases of the project.

With the strength of a young and enthusiastic workforce, each Central member is always full of fighting spirit. It is these things that have become the weapon power for each project to successfully complete the tasks entrusted to it by the Board of Directors.

On the morning of June 23^rd, 2024, at Gia Dinh Stadium, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City, Central Construction Joint Stock Company held the Opening Ceremony of Central Sports Day 2024 to celebrate the 7th anniversary of the company’s establishment (23/06/2017 – 23/06/2024).

This year’s Sports Festival not only attracts the company’s employees to compete in 6 sports: Football, Tug of War, One-cushion & Three-cushion Carom Billiards, Chinese Chess, Running 5,000m & 10,000m, Men’s 100m Swimming, but also has the companionship and participation of 8 Partners:

The Sports Festival has become an annual activity of the company; is a spiritual and cultural activity, a healthy and useful playground to improve the spirit of physical training and sports and improve health. Immediately after the whistle of the referee team sounded, all athletes and fans gathered in the playing field area of all disciplines to compete and cheer for the home team.

Central Sports Day 2024 takes place in 2 weeks with the participation of more than 400 athletes and supporters who are staff from Departments/Projects and Partners.

After 2 weeks of competing in 6 subjects: Football; Tug of War; One-cushion & Three-cushion Carom Billiards; Chinese Chess; Running 5,000m & 10,000m; Men’s 100m Swimming; besides the joys, there were also many regrets, but in all the athletes have all devoted their best to create exciting and vibrant matches.

Mr. Mai Chanh Thanh – Central’s Executive Director shared at the ceremony: “I would like to thank our Partners for accompanying us in this year’s sports day. Thank you to the referee team for being fair, transparent and objective for the competing disciplines. Thank you for the participation of the athletes participating in the competition, competing together in 6 subjects with a spirit of enthusiasm, honesty, effort to devote all your abilities, determination to achieve high results, and supporters are present regularly to enthusiastically cheer for all athletes. We all worked together to make this year’s sports day a success.”

On the morning of March 29^th, 2024, Central Construction Joint Stock Company held the Partner Conference 2024 with the theme “Build Trust, Creat Value”. On this occasion, the Central Board of Directors shared with nearly 130 partners about the company’s strategy, cooperation spirit as well as development orientation in 2024 and the following years.

As a reputable General Contractor, being trusted from clients and partners, Mr. Tran Quang Tuan, CEO of Central shared: In 2020 and the peak of 2021, when the COVID-19 pandemic spread out, all businesses and the whole economy were seriously affected. The top priority of the Company is to keep stable, Central has handed over projects, and kept good relationships with Clients, Partners to continually accompany the Company, overcome difficulties. In 2022 & 2023, Central revenue and profit still remained at a high level, with a 5-year compound growth rate in revenue of 64% and the compound growth rate in profit of 225%. 2023 is a pivotal year for a comprehensive restructuring of the company’s apparatus, streamlining the apparatus, from processes and regulations. Especially, the Company decided to implementing a “1-Touch” policy to accelerate all operational processes of the Company more and more efficiently, and the payment process with the determination of specific personal responsibilities.

At the conference, representatives of the Board of Directors of the Company shared about the production and business situation in the past year as well as development plans and orientations in the following years. Emphasizing the core values of the Company, Central always upholds Integrity and Transparency throughout the process of working with Partners. This is the foundation for a sustainable cooperation relationship of the parties.

In addition, Central Board of Directors has spent most of the time sharing and discussing openly with partners about the current market situation of the construction industry, about difficulties in the cooperation process to have a solution and long-term companionship. The economic recession, raw material price storm, bond crisis are great challenges for businesses, especially seriously affecting the real estate and construction industries, leading to scarce sources of jobs and stiffer competition.

Therefore, the companionship of partners on building effective solutions, improving construction quality as well as optimizing costs will be a premise to help improve competitiveness and chances of winning projects. On the evening of February 23^rd, 2024, the Holistic Excellence Ceremony for the most favorite employers of 2023 – Employer of Choice 2023 was held. At the ceremony, Central Construction Joint Stock Company was honored:

• 3rd place in Top Construction – Building Materials
• 27th place in the Top 50 Most Favourite Employers 2023 – Medium-sized Enterprises.

The event was organized by CareerViet Solutions Joint Stock Company (CareerBuilder Vietnam) – the largest employment and recruitment network in Vietnam in collaboration with the market research company Amco Vietnam and the participation of more than 310 businesses. In more than a month, the survey has attracted more than 62,000 respondents nationwide of different ages and industries, of which nearly 40,000 respondents have completed the survey and voted for themselves the Most Favorite Employer in 2023.
