On 14 November 2025, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung, Member of the Party Central Committee, and a Government delegation inspected the progress of several key projects in Quang Tri Province. The working visit aimed to assess the implementation situation, assess progress, remove difficulties and obstacles, promote disbursement, and create momentum for local socio-economic development.
As part of the working agenda, the Deputy Prime Minister directly conducted an on-site inspection of the Quang Tri Airport project. The project is being developed under a joint investment partnership comprising T&T Group, Cienco 4, and Quang Tri Airport Co., Ltd., with CENTRAL serving as the General Contractor alongside several partner units executing works across the construction site.

The project meets the standards of a level 4C airport, capable of handling code E aircraft and irregular international flights; and is also a level II military airport, with a designed capacity of 5 million passengers/year.

During his inspection, Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the investor and contractors must closely follow the directives of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, ensuring the project is completed before 30 April 2026 with an emphasis on mobilizing all available resources to accelerate construction progress. Quang Tri province needs to cooperate with the investor to focus on site clearance, clean land allocation, and and ensure adequate sand supply for construction.
